Based on the Maxwell-Stefan equation and the Gouy-Chapman model (with the Debye-Hückel approximation), this paper gives an analytical equation to describe the concentration profile of a charged solute in the concentration polarisation layer in terms of three dimensionless numbers (the Debye number, the Nernst number, and the boundary layer Peclet number). © 2006.
